Ustrega
Ustrega is a duo based in the San Francisco Bay Area, started as a way to experiment with sounds and drones. The first two records were mostly improvisational, with guitar and turntable as main sound sources processed through loops and electronics, without overdubs.
Since 2010 the focus has shifted back toward composition, employing the most basic rock set-up: an electric guitar supported by a minimal drum kit composed of only a tom, a snare drum and a cymbal.
