An amazing My Bloody Valentine portrait

My Bloody Valentine, by Pan (ex Flickr user)
(used here upon permission from author)

This is probably the best portrait of a (part of a) band I ever saw.

UPDATE:
The author is no longer on Flickr. He called himself Pan —- シリル when he was there.

Nuclear warheads in Italy and Europe: just give the word!

Want some WMD? No need to go to Iraq, just travel across Europe. All safe, ready and made in USA.

“[The] February 2005 NRDC paper pieces together evidence from an array of sources to show that the United States is still deploying 480 nuclear weapons in Europe. Until now, most observers believed there were no more than half that many still left on the continent.”

Aviano base, Italy: 50 B61 nuclear bombs.
Ghedi Torre, Italy: 40 B61 nuclear bombs.
(Source: DigitalGlobe.)

Europe WMD map: http://www.abolition2000europe.org/map/

A great wealth of updated information is here:
http://www.nukestrat.com/us/afn/nato.htm

Some older stats:
“Today, there are fewer than 180 US nuclear bombs in Europe. (1998)” [link1]

“The United States now retains approximately 1,100 nonstrategic nuclear weapons, with a few hundred deployed with aircraft in Europe and the remaining stored in the United States.”
“Unclassified reports indicate that, of this number, fewer than 500 were air-delivered bombs deployed at bases in Europe” (2004) [link2]

The B61-5 is a lightweight (350kg), low drag/parachute-retarded variable yield (10-500kT) tactical thermonuclear weapon.

That’s what happens to me every time I use Windows.
