terrmuq

Paolo and I usually improvise. We are currently editing a lot of material and surprisingly enough, there’s some good stuff in our improvisations. Well, “good” is a relative term. Improvisation is something that gives me so much. I always, always wanted to do it, and actually, it’s kinda weird the way it started with Paolo. I won’t bore my non-existent readers with that though. However, I will bore them with more uSTREGA noise.

So. Terrmuq is my first suite! It came out from a original thought (aka canovaccio) that Paolo laid out, but the performance is totally improvised. Edits are minimal as usual. Terrmuq I, II, III.

edit: the links were broken. I fixed the links.

deviant art

I should observe more of the stuff uploaded at Deviant Art. There’s such amazing art and such amazing artists. Some examples are spacemecha, ranvier, ooookatioooo and badness-cat… and I have the honor to know the latter in person!

Some of my favorite deviations:
uno
due
tre
quattro

drones, music, noise… uSTREGA!

The other thing that’s been happening since June 05 is… uSTREGA! I finally started playing music again, with Paolo Guiducci, a new friend I found here in California. Guitar and turntable, plus some electronics and loops. We have some pieces, like this, and this, and this, and this, and this. More to come.

Yo yo yo we got NuLOOQ!

NuLOOQ has been released! I guess I never spoke here about my latest efforts (damn NDAs)…. but yeah, I am responsible for part of the NuLOOQ software. It’s been quite a while now, so it’s good to see it’s finally out. I am having a great time working on it, actually. It’s a lot of work. Now it’s released, but it’s not ended. I know there are bugs in there (it is a v1.0 after all), we just have to find them. I was (I am) at PMA in Florida where it was launched, it was amazing to see the response we had… well, despite the first hour where nothing was working!
