Federico Aldrovandi e’ stato ucciso senza che fossero state ascoltate le sue richieste di aiuto, come hanno riferito due testimoni che si trovavano nella zona dell’ippodromo di Ferrara, teatro della vicenda.

Manganellate in testa oltre che su braccia, gambe e schiena, il trascinamento sull’asfalto e lo schiacciamento del corpo da parte di uno dei militari che ha portato il giovane alla morte anche per ipossia.

E’ stato ammanettato e messo a pancia in gia’ prima di morire.

I risultati della perizia medico-legale hanno evidenziato ecchimosi ed ematomi sparsi su tutto il corpo, fra cui una lesione alla testa in sede occipitale, testicoli schiacciati, una profonda ferita su una natica e graffi sul viso.

Secondo la tesi di un cardiopatologo dell’Universita’  di Padova, il professor Thiene, il cuore di Federico avrebbe subito un arresto dopo aver ricevuto un colpo violento.

Le registrazioni del colloquio telefonico della Centrale operativa nei minuti successivi al fermo di Federico lasciano pochi dubbi: “… l’abbiamo bastonato di brutto. Adesso e’ svenuto, non so… E’ mezzo morto”.

Secondo il pm l’omicidio e’ maturato in una condizione di evidente sproporzione fra qualunque entita’  di agitazione psicomotoria del ragazzo, solo, disarmato e ammanettato, rispetto allo stato degli agenti, che erano in quattro, tutti sobri e anche armati.

La violenza delle botte e’ stata tale che due manganelli si sono addirittura rotti.

Paolo Forlani, Monica Segatto, Enzo Pontani e Luca Pollastri, gli agenti di Polizia che hanno ucciso Aldrovandi, sono stati condannati a 3 anni e 6 mesi. Il pubblico ministero aveva chiesto 3 anni e 8 mesi.

Non sconteranno nemmeno un giorno in carcere, grazie all’indulto.

Non sono stati espulsi dalla Polizia.

E’ stato quindi dimostrato che in Polizia ci sono criminali spietati, che uccidono persone disarmate, e lo Stato ne giustifica gli atti.

Maybe what strikes the most is that after such an absurd and illegitimate disallowance he calmly begins his argument with:

“Gentlemen, I think you’re being subjected to an unlawful order”

And continues:

“The authority of the state of Massachusetts should not be misused for a political exclusion of a presidential candidate who has a ticket to watch the debate on remote television and has a official invitation from FOX news. [...]

This is the strangest situation I’ve ever seen.”

The [presidential] debates [in the USA] are controlled by the so-called Commission on Presidential Debates, a private [non-profit] corporation which was created by the Democratic and Republican Parties in 1987.

The Commission is headed by Frank Fahrenkopf — the former head of the Republican National Committee, and Paul Kirk — the former head of Democratic National Committee.

Fahrenkopf is a lobbyist for gambling interests, Kirk for pharmaceutical companies.

Two things I can see from the CNN screenshot (taken today Feb 5 around 11:20 PM):
1. People are voting for a candidate who already bailed from the race (Edwards got out a week ago)
   Corollary: Either I am missing something basic (votes for Edwards’ are transfered to whoever he endorses?) or somebody is pretty disconnected from reality.

2. CNN doesn’t even report results for the only “other” democratic candidate around, Mike Gravel.

It has to be said that CNN (and all other mainstream media outlets) has totally ignored Gravel giving him no TV air time, so at least they are coherent bastards. However, how can legit “alternative” candidates like Gravel ever stand a chance if no-one even consider them? Has he lost before even trying, or are we making him lose? Is this democratic? Is this giving everybody a fair chance? I don’t pretend equality, just the fairness of doing your job.
